Abstract

The axiomatic theory of bargaining solutions was initiated by John Nash with his seminal paper in 1950 and has an elegant mathematical structure. Surprisingly, it arises naturally in a variety of allocation problems in cloud computing. In this talk, I will review the mathematical underpinnings of bargaining theory and describe new problems, insights and results in bargaining theory motivated by recent problems in cloud computing.
