This poster session was hosted by Research Experiences of the Biological-Mathematical Interface (REBMI), and the Claremont Center for the Mathematical Sciences (CCMS). The event took place at the Claremont McKenna College - Anthenaeum on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at 4 - 5 PM.
The Claremont College REBMI program provideed summer research experiences to selected undergraduate science majors on real world projects that lie at the interface between mathematics and the life sciences. Over the summer, fifteen (15) Claremont undergraduate students from the mathematics and science departments participated in research projects at many of the top universities in North America, including McGill University, University of Kansas, University of Southern California, University of California at San Francisco, Washington University (St. Louis), Washington State University (Pullman) and Cal Lutheran. The topics of these research projects were at the cutting edge of bio-technology and it is anticipated that many of these projects will yield at least one scientific publication. The students were supported by various grants to the Claremont Colleges including REBMI. Click here to see the poster titles.
